My name is Jocelyn Long but my friends call me Josie. I was born and raised outside of Yosemite National Park in a small town called Mariposa. I was raised on a ranch with my family of 7. After graduation, I moved to San Luis Obispo in 1988 to attend Cuesta College and Play volleyball. I continued to play volleyball in San Diego but missed SLO so much that I moved back and attended Cal Poly. I graduated from Cal Poly with Kinesiology, Life Science, and Health degrees. I then attended St. Mary’s College in Moraga to complete my Masters in Health, PE, and recreational Administration. I have been a high school teacher on the Central Coast for the last 30 years. After teaching for 30 years, I realized it was time for a change, so I got my Mortgage Loan Originator License in 2021. I am looking forward to 2024 and I look forward to interest rates dropping. I am lucky to have 2 fabulous kids. My son Mitchel is 22 and attends Cuesta College; my daughter Tana is 18 and attends AGHS. We have an 11-year-old yellow lab named Buddy, who my kids will argue is the favorite child. You will catch me hiking, running, and paddling on my SUP or working out at the gym when I am not working.
